Welcome to the 2024‐25 Faith Formation school year!

The Faith Formation Office re-opened on September 3.

Registration is open. Checks made payable to Saint Joseph Church. Credit card payment is available through Online Giving through the Parish website: Religious Education Fees 4150.

If you pay online, please forward the confirmation details to us, so that we can note your account accordingly. The same tuition cost applies to all students in all grades. Please advise us if you require financial assistance.

Calendar —Faith Formation starts the first week of October. Currently classes meet Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4:00 to 5:15 pm. Schedules will be provided by your catechist. Please indicate your preferred day on the registration form. We will try to accommodate your preference, based on catechist availability. All classes meet weekly, unless otherwise indicated.

Location —Faith Formation classes meet in the Carmen Buck Religious Education Building.

Sacrament Years —Students receiving a sacrament of Holy Communion or Confirmation will be charged a fee to cover all religious education materials necessary for sacramental preparation as well as sacramental workshops and retreats. Students and families will meet for workshops, group service activities, and/or retreats on additional days, including Saturdays and/or Sundays. Schedules will be provided by your catechist.

In the 2024-2025 school year, students from grades 6 through high school will be confirmed, as long as they have been enrolled in faith formation for at least two years and have participated in all of the necessary sacramental preparation. Similarly, students in grades 3 and above who have been enrolled in faith formation for at least two years and have participated in all of the necessary sacramental preparation for the Holy Eucharist, will receive the sacrament.

Teen Mentors —We want you! If you are Confirmed, we have opportunities available for you to help with Faith Formation classes. Share your faith, make new friends, have fun, and perhaps learn something new! Helping with Faith Formation counts toward your school service hours, too.

Catechetical Team —Would you like to serve your Parish youth for an endlessly rewarding experience?

Teach your Catholic faith to our young parishioners! Volunteers are essential to our program. For the

new school year, we are looking for catechists, mentors, classroom aides, door monitors, and substitutes! Ongoing training will be made available to you! Initial formation will be completed online through LEAD™ and VIRTUS®. Furthermore, if you are registering a child/grandchild for classes and commit to teach a particular grade, you will receive a tuition discount. Church Registration — A Parish is a community of believers and a spiritual family that is supportive and

loving. Please ensure that you are registered at the church where you attend Mass, so that you have a

spiritual home. Parish registration is essential for anyone who wishes to be a Godparent/Sponsor for a
